Dr. Li Zhang is currently the president of SCC Life Science, a consulting firm focus on supporting Chinese healthcare companies gain footprint in the Switzerland/Europe while helping Swiss SMEs getting access to China. 

Prior to the current role, Li has approximately 20 years experience working in the biopharma industry, including 15 years in Novartis. During the Novartis tenure, he had taken different challenges in the commercial and medical function with increasing responsibility while gaining experience in the therapeutic areas such as Neuroscience, Dermatology, Infectious Diseases, and Ophthalmology. Prior to the role in the industry, Li has done research work in Canada and US (NIH) with several publications including one first-author paper in Neuron.

Li is a physician by training, graduate from Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) with a MD degree and later gained a MBA from Thunderbird (The American Business School of International Management).
